experiment_invalid_state

What happened

The experiment exists, but its current status does not allow the action you asked for.

Why it usually happens

• stop and refresh need a running experiment.
• update with cap_days needs running; with changed_at, starting or running within 7 days of the current change date.
• delete needs starting or running: a closed or stopped result is final.
• Another request changed the experiment between your read and your write.

How to fix

• Call get_experiment (or GET /experiments/{id}) and read status and changed_at before retrying.
• Do not retry an action on an ended experiment: its result is final.
